Big test of NOTOX surfboards

For a long time, you have been asking us for video tests of our boards... Like any good craftsman, until now, we have rarely had the time to do this exercise.

But for several months, we have been working on the subject with Sébastien Vaisse (former editor-in-chief of Surf Session magazine and video content producer) and more recently with the very eco-enthusiastic YouTuber Hugo Mouillé!

Hugo Mouille also aims to educate surfers about reducing their ecological impact, by choosing sustainable equipment, avoiding car travel, and respecting nature. This is of course a point on which Waved and NOTOX find themselves: we must together demonstrate pedagogy to help surfers navigate the jungle of environmental demands and detect harmful practices such as greenwashing ( still too often used).

Waved is therefore an ambitious and inspiring project, which reflects the personality and values of its creator. If you want to know more about Hugo and Waved, you can start by watching the video that he mainly devoted to his new board!

Sébastien helped us produce short videos collecting opinions from local surfers, whom we support, on different models in our range. Thus giving a fairly complete range of what you can find at NOTOX, and what the different constructions offer you, in terms of technicality!

You can find all the boards for this big test in our catalog: EASYRIDE, LONGFISH, RIP, RIPLEY et NEOTWIN.

As for Hugo, perhaps you have already tried to get advice online to improve your surfing? If so, you have probably already come across his name.

Hugo is a surfing enthusiast who created Waved, a website dedicated to learning this sport. On Waved, you can find advice for getting started and progressing in surfing, in the form of videos, session photos, original documentaries on the world of surfing, and soon online courses.

Hugo started surfing in 2020, and he quickly developed his surfing thanks to his courage and his desire to get out of his comfort zone. In the days when air travel was not yet singled out (rightly), he was able to travel to many countries to surf the most beautiful waves, and today he shares his experiences on his YouTube channel and its website.

Hugo also aims to educate surfers to reduce their ecological impact, by choosing sustainable equipment, avoiding car travel, and respecting nature. This is of course a point on which Waved and NOTOX find themselves: we must together demonstrate pedagogy to help surfers navigate the jungle of environmental demands and detect harmful practices such as greenwashing ( still too often used).
